Artist's Statement:

I paint people, animals and symbolic objects within their environment to capture their

journeys and life experiences.

By choosing subjects from life experiences or my imagination, often a combination of both, I seek out the substance

that often lays beneath the surface of my subjects. My goal is to expose the essence of excitement,

emotion plus sometimes the pain that is daily life.

To complement the traditional style of my subjects I use oil paints on a foundation of canvas or linen.
